Gasped – Man Matters

GASPED offers practical and emotional support for adults aged 18 and over. The team helps people improve their wellbeing, build confidence and move forward with their lives. They also provide specialist support for men affected by domestic abuse, sexual abuse and trauma.

Opening times

  • Monday : 9:00 am - 8:00 pm
  • Tuesday - Thursday : 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Friday : 9:00 am - 4:30 pm

Who is the service for?

  • Adults aged 18 and over.
  • Some services are open to everyone, while specialist abuse support is for men living in the Wakefield district.

Key support offer

• Support to find and stay in work.
• One-to-one emotional support.
• Counselling (usually at least 12 sessions).
• Men’s support groups.
• Support for men affected by domestic abuse.
• Support for men affected by sexual abuse, including abuse that happened in the past.
• Support for people living with post-traumatic stress (PTSD).
