AgeUK Wraparound

Wraparound is a low-level mental health support offer for older people in the Wakefield district. We provide short-term help for those who may be struggling with low mood, anxiety and worry, health and life challenges etc. Our team of trained support workers will help you to identify your goals for your support sessions and work towards them in a way that works for you. We can provide home visits, support in the community and telephone help.

  • Monday - Friday : 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Who is the service for?

Anyone age 50+ who lives or attends a GP in the Wakefield District.

Those experiencing mild to moderate mental health and wellbeing challenges.

Key support offer

Up to 6 1:1 support sessions with a Wraparound Support Worker. They can provide listening support, psychoeducation and help to identify a way forward using a goals based approach.

What we don't offer

Crisis support.
Specialised therapy.
Long term support.
An urgent response.

Waiting times & timescales

Our team is small so waiting times can vary. We aim to respond to every new referral within one week and a member of the team will discuss expectations with you.
