Who is the service for?

Our creative health programme in 2026 includes:

• Maternal Journal – Creative activities for people who are pregnant or have a baby aged up to 12 months.
• Photovoices – A 20-week programme for young women aged 16–25. It uses photography, printmaking, journaling and art to help you explore your mental health. This programme is run with The Youth Association.

Key support offer

Maternal Journal

Each session is led by an experienced worker. You can use different creative activities to explore the changes, joys and challenges of pregnancy, birth and becoming a parent.

The sessions run once a week for one school term.

Where possible, childcare is provided in the same space. This gives you time to take part in the activities.
Photovoices

This is a 20-week programme where you can try different art activities and find new ways to share your thoughts and experiences.

You can meet other people and help plan the weekly sessions by sharing your ideas and interests.

The Youth Association works with us to offer mental health and wellbeing support.

You can also:
• Make your own wellbeing plan.
• Have regular phone calls to see how you are doing.

What we don't offer

These activities use art to help you explore and share your feelings and experiences with others.
They are not mental health treatment or therapy.
