Enhanced Team West Wakefield

The Enhanced team west is a group of professionally trained people who work together to offer help and support to people with complex mental health difficulties.  The mission of our team and our NHS Trust is to help people live well and reach their potential in the community.

Opening times

  • Monday - Friday : 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
  • Saturday - Sunday : 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Who is the service for?

• Adults aged 18–65.
• People with complex mental health needs who have been referred by a mental health professional.
• This service does not accept self-referrals and is not a crisis service.

Key support offer

• Personalised mental health support and care planning.
• Support from a team of different mental health professionals.
• Physical health checks and healthy lifestyle support.
• Access to talking therapies.
• Help to build confidence, learn new skills and reconnect with your community.
• Support to access the Recovery College, education and employment opportunities.
• Medication reviews and ongoing support where needed.
• Practical advice, including signposting for benefits and money support.
• Support for families and carers.

The service aims to make support accessible for everyone and can offer:

• Interpreter services.
• Wheelchair-accessible building and parking.
• Text message communication where appropriate.

Waiting times & timescales

Once your referral has been accepted, you will usually be offered support within around two weeks
